Overview

Walkers should meet at the village hall in Upton Magna to share cars to Haughmond Abbey, from where this delightful 3.8 mile easy walk will start. The route will go through a beautiful perfumed bluebell display in New Coppice, behind Haughmond Abbey, then join the Shropshire Way to circumnavigate Ebury Hill fort with its quarry pool, before returning along the Shropshire Way to the ruins of Haughmond Abbey, an Augustinian Abbey.  There are only a couple of stiles on this route. We will return to The Haughmond, now under new ownership, for post-walk refreshments.
