Overview

An attractive Dog Friendly walk in and around BOA and countryside. Starting from the Bailey Gate Canal Trust car park heading to the Tithe Barn via the canal Wharf footpath then crossing the River Avon and on up to the top of the old town with some good all round views. Moving out in to the countryside in the direction of Little Ashley across several fields before crossing the A363 towards the Cumberwell Golf club. Continuing around the golf course following well marked footpaths heading back towards Bradford Leigh. Turning back to BOA via the outskirts of Woolley through fields and several of nature reserves back down into the town centre. Finally leaving the town centre and onto the Poulton area public recreational spaces and back to the Canal Trust car park.

The route follows both good lanes and footpaths across fields with a couple of ascents at the beginning of the walk, we will need to take care when crossing a couple of minor roads around BOA plus when walking through the town centre.

The walk generally being well marked.

Bring light refreshments and drink.

Wear suitable footwear.

Many thanks to Somer Valley Ramblers for inviting us to join this walk.
