Overview

The walk starts from Bridge of Weir car park behind the Gryffe Inn.  Coming in by car from Johnstone on the A761, go past the centre of Bridge of Weir, after the shops, look out for the Gryffe Inn on your right and turn right into car park, just before the River.

From Bridge of Weir, we join the Gryffe Valley Way along the River Gryffe and follow the river to Houston. We will have a lunch stop here and take in some of the history of the village, before heading back down to the outgoing path back to Bridge of Weir.

Terrain is a mixture of pavements and rough paths, all on the level. Boots or walking shoes recommended. Several roads to cross.
