Starting from Stanmore car park our route will take us along the path at Hermitage Hill Coppice with splendid views of Bridgnorth town centre and possibly a view of the Severn Valley steamer. From there we will follow the route atop of Jacob's Ladder across field to Fenn Gate and continuing through some woodland and sandstone rocks to Rindleford the site of an old watermill. We will then proceed past Soundley Rocks and along the River Worfe, then ascending past Davenport House to the village of Worfield where we will stop for lunch at the Dog & Davenport pub. After our stop in Worfield we will carry on our route through Chempshill Coppice then onto a path from Roughton to Barnsley taking us past Hoccum Pool back to Stanmore Country Park.
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids.
Waterproofs and gaiters recommended as some areas of the trail may be muddy if there has been recent rainfall.
Well behaved dogs are welcome however this route involves some stiles.
