The walk starts at Brierley Forest Park car park, heading through the Country Park towards Teversal. There will be a drink stop at Teversal Visitor Centre where there is a café and toilets. Please feel free to bring your own snack/drink, for outside the café where benches are available. There is also mining memorabilia from Silverhill colliery displayed in the visitor centre garden.
Continue along Teversal trail into Silverhill Woods (former site of Silverhill Colliery) and up a gentle incline to the Miner's statue - Testing for Gas. Return via the trails, uphill through Brierley Golf course and into Brierley Forest Park.
The lunch stop is at the end of the walk at Brierley Forest Park café. Please feel free to bring a packed lunch, to be eaten outside the café where benches are available.
