A 10.8 miles walk from Carluke train station to Hamilton Central train station. This will be via paths, minor roads, the River Clyde Walkway and RSPB's Baron's Haugh Reserve. There will be some descents and ascents, particularly at the start of the walk, and care should be taken at any slippery sections.

Meet outside the M&S shop inside Glasgow Central station at 08.30 having purchased a return ticket to Carluke. We will catch the 08.50 Lanark train from central's high level station, alighting at Carluke. We will return by train from Hamilton Central station at the end of this linear walk.
