This walk starts in Milton of Campsie and takes us up to Clachan of Campsie, skirting Lennoxtown and back to Milton of Campsie. The route is very varied, takes us through the grounds of the Schoenstatt Spiritual Retreat Centre and has good views of the Campsie Hills.

The terrain is mixed with some sections through fields and woodland and other stretches along the Strathkelvin Railway Path. There are a couple of stiles to cross (one of them is more like a gate and so a bit of agility is required) and there are also some overgrown concrete steps to go up.
We'll stop at Clachan of Campsie for lunch and, weather permitting, before that for a tea break. Please bring drinks and snacks.
Please note this walk was originally scheduled for January 18 but had to be cancelled due to a family bereavement. Those booked on the original walk should re-book in the normal way.
The fields and paths could be muddy and boggy so walking boots are essential. There are no toilets on the route but there are some sections with cover.
Buchanan Street Bus Station, under the departure board at 9.10am in time to catch the 9.26am X85 bus to Milton of Campsie Buses back from Milton of Campsie are scheduled for 15.35, 16.05 and 16.35. The Fells Cafe is open until 4pm.
The walk will start outside the Fells cafe in Milton of Campsie at 10am. If you would like to meet the group there, please let the leader know.
