Starting from Slaters car park, we'll get the blood flowing with a climb up towards Haddon Lane, making our way to Chapel Chorlton via Hill Chorlton, then onwards towards Ashley. After lunch, we’ll stop for refreshments at the The Peel Arms, before heading back through Maer village, marriage place of Charles Darwin and Emma Wedgewood, making our way back to Slaters for further refreshments.
This is not the same route as last year’s mud-fest that began at Slaters, I promise far less mud (and stuff that looks like mud but isn't), with longer sections on quiet country lanes. And an extra pub.
