Overview

A generally sheltered walk passing just north of Axbridge, followed by a steady climb through Cheddar Wood then a short steeper climb to the top of Fry’s Hill, returning via Winterhead & Sandford Wood. There may be Bluebells but many of these have been destroyed by the Wild Garlic. Coffee & lunch stops. Only a couple of stiles.

There is a 9 mile option that leaves the walk at Wintrath and takes a fairly direct route back to Winscombe.
