Overview

Join the Chiltern Young Walkers for our annual Path Checking day 2025.

One of the objectives of the the Ramblers as a charity is to ensure that public footpaths and bridleways are kept open for people to enjoy. Each Ramblers group is normally asked to undertake footpath checks annually in a nominated parish. Last year the CYW was asked to take on a new Parish which hadn't been covered by a Ramblers Group in some years. The Parish was Ellesborough and quite a few issues were identified and notified to the Council. This year we will aim to undertake a follow up check.

There will be two routes to cover of between 7 and 8 miles. The two routes will start from the Coombe Hill National Trust car park (parking free).
