We are the Solihull Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We head out of Meriden in a northerly direction, crossing the A45 to access the open countryside. We will skirt around Close Wood and Birchley Hays Wood and then turn back towards Meriden, taking in Hollyberry End and an old bridleway, before descending through Meriden Shafts and returning to our start point along lanes. There is quite a lot of field walking, but not too much mud at the moment! There are some lovely views across the fields of the Birmingham skyline, and also of the north Coventry skyline.
We will have a break for a drink and a snack.
We will park on Old Road, just down from the Queens Head pub.
