This is a pleasant Rural walk on towpath and footpaths with a small amount of rural road walking.  There are around 20 locks so most of the 324 feet ascent is alongside the canal.  Although the towpath is relatively mud free, depending on the recent weather the footpaths will be muddy.  There are a number of stiles, and a couple of them are quite challenging and in poor repair.

We park on the pub carpark,so please support the landlord by buying a drink or lunch at the end of the walk.
