Overview

This is a very pleasant walk in a sheltered part of the Clyde Valley known for fruit growing since Roman times. We start from Crossford and walk along a section of the Clyde Walkway before climbing up to Braidwood Village on little used roads. We stop for lunch by Braidwood Loch, a local beauty spot. The return from Braidwood follows the Fiddler's Gill, a lovely, largely downhill, woodland walk along the top of a steep gorge and then back to Crossford.
