This is a coach walk.
The coach starts from Nottinghamshire County Hall, Loughborough Road, Nottingham NG2 7QP at 9.15am and Maid Marian Way (outside Tesco) at 9.30am

There will be a choice of four walks of varying distance to suit most abilities
A WALK - Leader: Nicky Newberry - 11 miles
Route: A circular walk with 1700ft ascent. We head upwards and north to Bolehill, behind Black Rocks and onto the Midshires way. Returning via Alderwasley, Alport Heights and Ashleyhay.
It may be possible to make a quick stop at The Bear but more likely at the end of walk - time permitting.
B WALK - Leader: Dave Johnson - 8.5 miles
Route: Wirksworth, Bolehill, Midshires Way, Alderwasley, The Bear Inn, Gorseybank, Wirksworth
Terrain: A coupe of climbs, muddy at time of survey, excellent views on a clear day
C WALK - Leader: Nick Fox - 6.5 miles
Route: Wirksworth, Bolehill, Black Rocks, Middleton To, National Stone Centre, Wirksworth
Terrain: Two climbs up to Bolehill and Middleton Top, downhill from Middleton Top to Wirksworth.Toilets at Black Rocks and Middleton Top.
SHORT C WALK - Leader: Paul Wagstaff - 4.5 miles
Route: Wirksworth, Gorsey Bank, Holehouse Farm, cross under railway line, Pittywood Farm, Summer Lane, Wirksworth
Terrain: moderate climb out of Wirksworth, part of it very muddy, most of the rest undulating, some small patches of mud
Possibility of tea room at end

Please sign up at least three days prior to the date of walk. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking so that someone else can take your place. Please do not turn up for a walk without booking, as we will have to turn you away.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations received BEFORE 8pm the Thursday preceding the Sunday Coach - NO CHARGE.
Cancellations received after 8pm on the Thursday preceding the Sunday coach will INCUR A £5 CHARGE.
