Forget the Xmas Shopping and celebrate the shortest day and the first day of winter, with a bracing coastal walk from Bempton Station to Filey Station. And a chance to avoid the traffic by using the train!
From Bempton Station we will walk up to the cliffs at Bempton, and along the cliffs to Hunmanby Gap. Descending to the beach we walk along the sands to Filey and up to Filey Station.
The walk leader will be on the train arriving from Hull, Beverley, Driffield and Bridlington, that arrives at Bempton Station at 10.09. Return trains from Filey are hourly and we hope to catch the 15.17 back to either Bempton (or any other station to the south).
For those arriving by car, please park on the grass verges near the station. The return from Filey will be by train as this is a linear walk.
Meeting at Bempton Railway station at 10.10. The walk leader will be arriving on the train at 10.09.
For those arriving by car at the starting point of Bempton Station, we expect to catch the 15.17 train from Filey back to Bempton.
