Welcome to the Pocklington group. We are one of the Area's younger groups, formed in 2003 and have a membership of about 180.
Geographically, we are the area hub, having a border with each of the other groups.
A great advantage is that our area covers a lot of the Yorkshire Wolds, so we have a good choice of walks in beautiful surroundings. We are also in easy reach of both the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Coast.
We have a very full and varied walks programme. They range from short walks for potential new members, summer evening walks, and midweek and weekend walks of varying lengths.
Pocklington is known as a friendly group with new members rapidly feeling part of the 'Pocklington Family'. Not only is there a programme of regular walks but most years there is the opportunity to join a coach ramble to more distant parts, and an annual walking holiday in the Dales or The Lake District.
