Overview

Duration: Approx 5.5 hrs Distance: 12 miles. A moderately strenuous hilly walk across downland and woodland, with wonderful views, that include an ancient burial ground and the charcoal burner site within Westdean Woods.

Dogs welcome, but may need to be on a lead for some of the time, due to sheep and a small distance of road walking.

Picnic lunch and two coffee stops along the way.

Meet: Cocking Hill car park, situated at the top of Cocking Hill on the A286 Chichester Midhurst Road.
By Car: Nearest post code GU290HT. No 60 Bus from Chichester runs every half hour.
