Overview

This is a very varied walk starting through St. Botolphs then going to the riverside. Continue through the old dock area of Hythe Quay and emerge on a path by the River Colne. Walk to the attractive village of Rowhedge. Return over the old Middlewick ranges passing the quaint Bourne Mill.

There is more hard surface walking on this walk than normal but it's worth it for the interesting route.

Please bring food and drink.

Please note the start time of 10.30 a.m. to allow travel to Colchester.

The car park is less than 10 minutes walk from Colchester Town station.
