Overview

This undulating figure of eight walk takes us past Dame Mary Bowles Water Tower and the five mansions of Heath, crossing centuries old Heath Common. We then visit a former coal-mine site, Walton Colliery Nature Park, designated a Local Nature Reserve in 2008, stopping for an early lunch at the highest point (100ft). Our return to Heath is via an old coal miners route now known as Nature Dave’s Trail. Al fresco lunch and toilets.
