Overview

When the bus drops us off in Cotmanhay we are only 1 1/4 miles from Ilkeston, but this interesting linear walk has a lot of ground to cover. We will walk along the Great Northern Railway, visit Woodside Nature Reserve, Mapperley Reservoir, the villages of Mapperley and West Hallam, Straws Bridge Nature Reserve, Victoria Park in Ilkeston, and finally Ilkeston Market Place where we will pick up the bus back to Nottingham.
