This walk takes us onto the Salisbury Plain military perimeter path where we can stride out before dropping through the woods to Earlstoke, and then via the golf course to Coulston and Edington.  The latter was built from stolen stone from the priory although the wonderful church remains intact.  Some really interesting History occurred in Edington. We then climb back onto Salisbury Plain and regain the Wessex Ridgeway to get back to the cars.  An interesting walk with a variety of  terrain and scenery.  On the whole easy under foot but there's sure to be some mud at the lower levels and some stiles so please come prepared and bring your lunch.
