We are the Biggar Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A pleasant walk up to the Covenanters Grave which will include a bit of history about the covenanters. The walk starts from Garvald and goes up to the grave via Easton. Apart from the spur to the grave, this is a circular walk, returning to Garvald via Medwynhead.
There are excellent views from the grave, all the way to the Ayrshire coast.
Most of the walk is on good farm tracks with just a couple of short sections on grass paths.
There are gates and a couple of stiles, but nothing difficult.
