Overview

After parking on the roadside in the village we’ll walk alongside the River Yeo before making our way up steeply for ¾ of a mile to Crook Peak (627ft) where we will have panoramic views of the surrounding area. We will then make our way across Wavering Down to a trig point in 1¼ miles, before walking on and down to a ridge which we will walk along for ¾ mile before dropping down a steep pathway back to the village.

This is a moderate/quite strenuous walk - walking poles useful, if you have them.

Bring a drink and snack.

The walk is led by our friends at Kingswood Ramblers, who have kindly invited us to join them.
