Join us for a lovely 8-mile walk passing through Southstoke and Monkton Combe villages, and alongside Combe Grove Manor and remains of the Somerset Coal Canal. One steep hill to climb.
Please bring a drink and picnic lunch for short stops during the walk.
Meet outside the entrance to Monkton Prep School, next to 170 North Road, Combe Down BA2 5DL at 10.00 am, ready to start walking at 10.15 am. We have permission to go up the entrance drive and park in the Prep School parking spaces adjoining the drive. The number 2 bus comes up Ralph Allen Drive and stops at the Hadley Arms, a few minutes walk from the school entrance.
