A circular walk around 7 delightful East Sussex rural churches....Berwick with it's inspiring murals, Alciston, Selmeston, Arlington, Wilmington, Lullington & Alfriston church. You can collect 'stamps' from each church & take part in ringing the pilgrim's bell, or leaving your mark in the sand...intrigued?!
We will stop for a coffee break & picnic on route.
Please note the estimated finish time of this walk as we will go inside each church briefly.
There is a hill approaching Arlington reservoir & the lower slopes of the Long Man but the rest is fairly flat. There are lots of gates & several stiles. We also have to take great care crossing the A 27 twice & the railway line.
Even if you have no spiritual inclination, this is a lovely walk admiring our stunning download landscape. The route is fairly well marked with Scallop shell signs.
