Overview

This is the first of our three walks for the Ireland Trip in September. It's a relatively short walk, designed to get us all loosened up ready for the main ascent at Carrauntoohil the following day. This first walk is challenging enough though, walking into a glen, crossing a river and ascending up to a corrie lake. The summit is Knocknapeasta through some boulders. There are nice views from the top down to Black Valley and across to Carrauntoohil.
