A delightful walk providing circuits of both the Great Orme and Little Orme as well as walks along the promenade at Llandudno. Due to the very wet and boggy conditions across the Peninsula, we will be taking a route which includes walking along the promenade at Llandudno in both directions. Whilst being a repetition of part of the route, it really is a rather lovely jaunt.
Starting at the Lifeboat Station, we follow the Wales Coastal Path beside the road then climb along the edge of Rhiwledyn Nature Reserve up, and around Little Orme where we should be able to spot seals basking at Porth Dyniewaid. There are usually large numbers hauled up here.
Our route then takes us along the promenade to begin the circuit of the Great Orme. We will cross to Deganwy on the West Shore before following sandy paths and some steep, rocky sections to get up onto Great Orme and attain the trig point. There should be fine views throughout the day of the mountains and the estuary. We will follow the Happy Valley path downhill before revisiting the delightful promenade around the Bay of Llandudno.
