Overview

A woodland walk in the New Forest along the 18th Century timber felling track to Allum Green and the Highland Water. There are various delights including the Reptile Centre, Holidays Hill and Holmhill Inclosures and Millyford Green. This is a shady walk if it's a hot day and it's nice and dry underfoot now that the mud has dried out. There are no stiles and it's fairly level except for a bit of a gentle climb to Lyndhurst Hill on the way back.
