Due to the very high winds and persistent rain forecast for Saturday, the leader has decided to CANCEL this walk.
We are the Richmond Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a lovely circular walk starting from the village of Datchet. We will walk down the Thames path enjoying the views of the Home park and Windsor castle, with the river on our left, until we reach Victoria Bridge, where we will cross the road and then find the river again, this time on our right. We pass Romney Lock and eventually reach Windsor Bridge, with Windsor on our left and Eton on the right, where we will have a quick stop for tea or coffee (toilet stop). On the way back we will return via the Home Park until we find Victoria Bridge again, but this time we will take a public path which is part of Datchet golf course before returning to Datchet village.
No toilets in Datchet but there is a coffee shop with toilets available.
