Overview

Join CYW for a walk with a difference. On this walk not only will we get to stop at a barn for some delicious homemade lunch but we will also end the walk in a Sunflower field where you can pick your own to take home.

Starting the walk we will head uphill through a nature reserve to Maidensgrove common, here we will walk through the beautiful common before heading through woodland alongside the Stonor Valley Vineyard.

We will continue walking through farmland with beautiful views of the surrounding country side before stopping at the no car cafe (The Barn) at Turville Heath. Here we have a reservation and you can order from their amazing menu, of home made burgers, pizzas, coffees or a local ice cream or beer.

Menu link below so you can see options.

No outside food or drink can be consumed here if you do prefer a packed lunch we can make another stop for this but as we are limiting the walk numbers for the reservation we do ask you order something while we are there.

After we have enjoyed our refreshments we will head down hill through Stonor Deer park passing Stonor house and ending the walk where we parked at the sunflower field.

Here we will take a wander through the field to each find our Sunflower to take home. These are available at a donation of £2 per stem or 3 for £5.

All donations will go to charity!

As we are using the field as parking ask that everyone brings money to donate even if not taking a flower home.

If you plan on picking a sunflower would be very helpful if you can bring scissors or even secateurs (for the professionals) so we are not all sharing one pair 😃

We are limiting this walk to 15 people due to parking and the lunch reservation so if you can use below meetup link to rsvp and  ask if you can not make it please update your rsvp so someone else does not miss out.
