A circular walk from Debenham Leisure Centre car park, skirting Debenham Village and visiting the lake before heading towards Kenton Road and using footpaths and quiet green lanes (including Waddle Goose Lane) to pass Grove Farm and return to the start point. This is normally a good walk to undertake in the summer, when the leafy byways provide some welcome cooling shade from the sun on hot days. There will be a 'coffee' stop at a suitable location, augmented by brief drink stops as dictated by the temperature on the day. The route is undulating, but there are no steep hills; the tracks and paths are uneven in places with roots and ruts to negotiate, but nothing unusual for a walk in the countryside.
Toilets are available in Debenham Leisure Centre, and tea or coffee can be bought in the Bar by anyone arriving early for the start or after the walk finishes.
There is a bus service between Ipswich and Diss serving Debenham, but the service is sporadic.
