From Ashford we make our way over fields to Monsal Head, down into Monsal Dale, then crossing the A6 to Deep Dale, returning via Sheldon to Ashford. The walk includes climbs and a number of stiles.
We normally stop for a drink after about an hour walking and we stop for lunch at about 12:30 so bring along a hot or cold drink and a packed lunch.
New Mills Co-op car park for optional car share to the start.
Ashford in the Water: The pay and display car park on Court Lane, ( this is quite small) or there is street parking on Church Street. Those going direct to the start to please inform the leader in case there are any late changes to the walk.
