Overview

After meeting in Hay-on-Wye we will follow various paths in a SW direction across quiet open countryside and take a coffee break by the tranquil Cilonw Brook on the edge of Llanigon village. The walk up the hidden Digedi Brook valley can be steep in places but the effort will be well rewarded with the views (weather dependent) when we emerge just below Hay Bluff. After our lunch stop (please bring a packed lunch) the descent back into Hay-on-Wye follows Offa's Dyke Path which will be muddy in places. We will be returning early enough to take refreshments and to celebrate the start of the return of the longer days.
