Overview

A moderate linear walk of around 9 miles in the White Peak area of Derbyshire - a land of submarine limestone deposits.

From Earl Sterndale, the route goes past Parkhouse Hill to Longnor, then to Crowdicote before turning SE along the Dove Valley to Pilsbury Castle and then to Hartington, where there are a variety of pubs and teashops for post-walk gratification in the picture-postcard location.

The  coach will leave Wyndley Swimming Pool car park 08:30. To book your place on the coach, please text Tony Power on 07759 300856. Coach fare is £10, payable in cash on the day.

There will be a boot-up stop at Ashbourne - 20p coin required to access toilets.
