Overview

This will be a leisurely walk starting from Earlston Square, with a bit huffy puffy up Huntshaw Road, and then a lovely walk through Carolsidehill Wood. We cross the A68 with care into the Carolside Estate. There is one easy stile to cross and 2 suspension footbridges across the Leader Water. There are also some quite steep steps to negotiate.

Unfortunately the Carolside gardens are not open at this time of year but we should be able to see the front of the house.

Boots, poles recommended

Bring a hot drink and snack for 1 stop - if the cafe is open we can pop in after the walk
