Overview

Area Sunday Strenuous Walk.

Distances are over 10 miles.

Because of train cancellations, compounded by rail replacement buses, the route of this walk has had to be changed and will now be an Edale circular.

Circular walk. No booking required.

Initial meet up at Manchester Piccadilly to catch the 10.45 train to Edale. The walk will start at Edale station after the arrival of the train from Piccadilly due at 11.31. 

The return train from Edale leaves at 18.47, due to get into Piccadilly at 19.32. As the clocks will have changed we will have plenty of daylight in which to complete the walk.

Note: walkers are advised to check one of the rail websites such as nationalrail or trainline close to the departure time in case of late changes to the running of the train.

Train ticket - return to Edale (if you have a GM concessionary travel pass this can be from Strines to Edale).

Paid car parking is available beside Edale station.
