Overview

This is a hilly walk! We set off uphill from Kemsing towards Romney Street, looping round through Magpie Bottom, past the round cow house at Dunstall Farm to Shoreham and then on to Otford for lunch. The afternoon begins with another stiff ascent and takes us to Otford Manor and Cotmans Ash before we walk downhill back to Kemsing. Bearing in mind conditions underfoot, the route has been chosen so that steep sections are uphill - to lessen the risk of slipping. The one steep downhill section (between Dunstall Farm and Shoreham Station) is mostly steps. There are several stiles on the route. If it's wet, walking boots and poles are advisable. (WC at start/finish and at lunch.)
