This will be a new walk for our group .
We begin the walk meeting in the car park at Waters Edge Country Park, Barton upon Humber.
From the car park we walk along the southern side of the River Humber. It is part of The Viking Way. From here we enter the edge of Far Ings Nature Reserve, and arrive at Blow Wells Plantation.Climbing up a steep hill, we get to Westfield Road walking by disused Barton Cliff Quarry.Heading towards the bank of the Humber ,we walk back along the river and back to the cars.
☕ The Waters Edge Cafe is open from 9am until 4pm so if needed there will be an opportunity for a hot drink, and refreshments before the walk.
🚾 Toilets available at Waters Edge Cafe.
🦆 Far Ings Nature Reserve offers many wild life attractions such as readbeds, meadow and scrub, and a large variety of birds including herons and Kingfishers
🌉 The toll charge to across the Humber is £1.50, one way.Regret card only.
