A lovely walk using forest tracks, byways, bridleways and moorland. For the first two miles there is a gradual ascent, going up forest tracks and eventually The Riggles which is a stony, steep, short track. Once up The Riggles we are on moorland with great views and Black Mixen comes into view which is the highest point in Radnorshire at 650m. We then enjoy the views and return via Old Hall, back onto forest tracks and return to the car park.
Fishpools is in the Radnor Forest which originally was a royal hunting ground but is now a land of hill farming, moorland and steep narrow valleys. There are fabulous views (weather permitting).
Registered assistance dogs only.
Bring a packed lunch.
