Starting from the Discovery Centre in Craven Arms we walk across fields before a short but steep ascent through Halford Wood to enjoy the first of many splendid views. A short section of walking on a quiet lane brings us to Lower Dinchope and into Callowhill Plantations where we walk up through the woods to Flounders Folly with the reward of more panoramic views. We will not be able to go up inside the folly as it is not open on the day of the walk. Having descended through the plantation we will make our way to Westhope along a lane before entering Alcaston Coppice and walking through the woodland towards Strefford. From here we make our way alongside Quinney Brook before returning to the Discovery Centre.
There are toilets and refreshments available at the Discovery Centre. There is a donation box to make a contribution for parking. The walk involves a few stiles and some steep steps leading up to Flounders Folly.
