Overview

A walk taking in parts of both the Crumlin and the Brecon canals, a climb through the Alt-yr-Yn Nature Reserve, an urban stream, two sections of road walking, some forestry and the two Ynysyfro reservoirs.

There are a lot of steep steps to climb in the nature reserve and this section might be very muddy; this is followed by a descent on grass where some people might like to use walking sticks.  Other than that the walk is on good surfaces, much of it tarmac.  There are no stiles.
