Canal towpath, ancient track and farm road make up a significant amount of the walk. There will of course be woodland and field paths that will be muddy. Some undulations but no severe hills. Relatively few stiles or gates. No facilities at start or enroute. Packed lunch and drinks to be carried.
Meet at Camelot Rugby Club, Post code: HP1 2BS. Hemel Hempstead railway station is half a mile from the Rugby Club where we will be meeting. Ample free car parking.
Participants on this walk need to have suitable footwear and equipment and be able to walk the distance and terrain so please consider this before booking. If you are unsure then please contact the walk leader before booking to ascertain whether this walk is suitable for you. Please remember to bring along your ICE (In Case of Emergency) card with details of emergency contacts, medical conditions and medications.
The leader has set a limit of 18 walkers and requires you to book. If your plans change please let the leader know in case there is a waiting list. Your details will be used solely for the purpose of the walk and will then be destroyed.
