A walk in the hills northeast of Glen Fruin but approached from the opposite (Northeast) side.

An anti-clockwise circuit of the hills above Glen Finlas reservoir. Follow the reservoir access road for a short distance and then ascend the grassy hillside to summit Creachan Hill. Continue the round taking in Beinn Ruisg, Balcnock, Craperoch and Shantron Hill from where we descend and return to the start.

Local Grade: B+

Terrain: Private tarmac road towards reservoir and then steep open hillsides with some faint tracks on higher ground. Will be boggy in places with some peat hags to negotiate.

Max height: 693 m.
