Starting from Goathland we ascend a grassy path past The Tarn and along the moorland crest of Two Howes Rigg and further up to the trig point at Simon Howe for our first stop for coffee. We continue along Simon Howe Rigg to Wardle Green and into the edge of Cropton Forest. Through the forest to Wheeldale Bridge where we shall stop for lunch. We continue along g the Roman Road through farmland back to Goathland.
