The next in a series of walks designed to help walkers prepare for longer countryside walks with the security of having dropout points. Experienced walkers are welcome too.
We start by crossing Putney Bridge and walking along the south side of the River Thames. Then we will walk away from the river to our first drop out point at Richmond (6 Miles) and will stop for lunch on Richmond Green. Bring a packed lunch or use one of the food to go options in the area.
Due to the closure of the Thames Path between Richmond and Kew we will take a different route than usual after lunch.
We will cross the river and follow the north side of the Thames towards our next drop out point at Kew Bridge station (10.5 miles). Then we will go through Gunnersbury Park and Ealing Common and finish the walk at a pub in North Ealing.
Due to the diversion this walk will be a mile longer than the normal distance of 12.5 miles.
Please note this will be held at a pace to prepare you for a moderate countryside walk.
Travel: Please use TfL network for travel to and from starting and finishing points, i.e. Oyster or contactless.
