Overview

We go further west for a change, beautiful rolling hillside and pretty villages and some welcome woodland shade if the sun is out.

This walk follows the West Sussex Literary Trail and joins the Monarch’s Way, we pass through Graffham Down and join the South Downs Way briefly.

We can visit the interesting 12th Century Church in East Dean. There is an attractive looking pub in the village if the group are in need of additional refreshments. After leaving the village there is another hill to walk up, before entering more woodland shade to return to the start.

Please bring a snack and a picnic.
