Overview

This walk takes us from the village of Orton up to Great Asby Scar, National Nature Reserve, which is protected for its limestone pavement and landscape. On a clear day  there are fantastic 360 degree views of the surrounding fells.

Please wear boots rather than trainers as limestone scenery is uneven and can be slippy. Please note there are numerous stone step stiles on the route. There are sheep grazing in this area so no dogs on this walk please.

Ramblers members please bring your card to  show at the walk start. Non Rambler members please bring £2 donation.
