Overview

The second part of the Green Link walk starts at Hackney Town Hall, then crossing London Fields to De Beauvoir Town. After a short section of the Regent's Canal the walk continues down through Clerkenwell,  Smithfield Market past the Museum of the Order of St. John and then an opportunity to see St Bartholomew the Great - London's oldest parish church.

Lunch - picnic by the river or lunch at Cafe 101 (Salvation Army Cafe).

Crossing the Thames the route is through Southwark passing the huge wall mural on Pocock Street. Following Blackfriars Road the route reaches Elephant and Castle where the shopping centre and much post war housing has been demolished and partially replaced by Elephant Park.

Walking through several housing estates the route eventually comes to Burgess Park. Crossing the Park the walk joins the Surrey Canal Walk and reaches Peckham Library - the end of the walk.
