Join us on a circular walk from Grosmont to Murk Mire Moor. The route takes in the surrounding scenic countryside of Egton, Muck Mire Moor and Beck Hole, returning via the railtrail, offering insights into the area’s industrial heritage. This walk includes moorland and forest paths, track and a short section of road side walking. Please be aware this walk includes a steep ascent, stepping stone section across the river Esk, and some steps and stiles elsewhere on the walk.

The includes exposed open moorland, please ensure you have with you appropriate boots, water proof clothing and lunch. Due to moorland gorse, would advise the wearing of either trousers or gaiters. Walking sticks advisable and ensure you bring plenty of fluids.
Meet at the Grosmont care park, just off Front Street (charges apply £5.50 payable by card only) Please be advised that currently the car park can only be accessed via Grosmont, and not from the Egton direction. (This is due to the closed/damaged road bridge between Grosmont and Egton.)
