Overview

This is almost a flat figure of eight walk along field paths and the canal towpath.

There is one short section on a quiet lane.

There are 5 stiles, all at the end of the walk near the village.

Lots of daffodils en route.

There is some mud so boots are recommended.

There were sheep in only one field so dogs on leads are welcome.

There will be the usual coffee and lunch stops so please bring your own refreshments and, as there are no convenient benches, please bring something to sit on.

At the end of the walk those wishing to have a drink The Nags Head is nearby.

The walk starts at Harby Village Hall car park. Directions: Take the A46 south from Newark and at Bingham turn left onto the A52 and follow the signs for Grantham. Look out for the first turning on the right signed Langar and Harby. Drive through Langar into Harby. As you come into Harby you go over the canal, then at the petrol station/shop turn left into School Lane and park up immediately on you left at the Village Hall. Allow 35mins from Newark.
